Re: 6230 and Nokia Data Suite
Yeah, they have released a buggy software. I have the same problem when
using USB connection. Try to give the memory
card a name and then reset the phone. This trick has helped some but not me.
I used my 6230 for one day then sent it to service.
What's the use of a camera phone when you can't get the pictures out?

You will find that its not the phone at fault for this problem, you will
find that the PC Suite released for this handset is still practically a
Beta, or should I say, when you run it half the functions are disabled...
I cannot copy MP3's (using Audio Manager) I have tried absoloutley
everything possible via Bluetooth, DKU-2 pop port. The only method that
works is using the MMC with dedicated MMC reader (i.e instead of doing it
via the phone)
You can fix your little problem of the picture problem by copying all the
images to the MMC and using a reader (if you have one), anyways I have
upgraded my handset to the latest version (dp v77.00) which is v3.15 and I
am having no problems with the handset (i.e used to crash in Active Service
Settings Menu for wap etc, now fixed) but same bugs on PC Suite so prooves
its pc suite at fault, I think a new version will be released as it took me
time to find the one I downloaded (it wasnt listed in support last week)

I just use the bluetooth browser from my PDA (Pocket Plugfree on
the Loox) or the browser in 'my Bluetooth Places' that the widcomm PC
software provides, to copy the pictures across to the PDA or PC.
Works like a charm. One tip - if you want to be able to access the
memory card you need to rename it to something first.
Alternatively you can select the picture from the 'gallery' browser
on the phone and then 'send' it to the device of your choice. It
should appear in the directory that you have set to recieve incoming
files on your PDA or PC.
I haven't really used the supplied PC software much - just for
creating playlists for the MP3 player which doesn't seem possible any
other way and for syncing the address book with Outlook.

Re: 6230 and Nokia Data Suite
Hi!
I doubt it is a PC suite problem. I tried phone browsing with versions 5.8
and 6.0 and both had the same
problem. Although browsing was successful with another 6230, which had SW
version 3.14.
My phone had version 3.15. It's now in service, so let's see what happens.
