Nokia 3200 and PC Suite 6.1 problems

Ive got a nokia 3200 phone and a wireless irda infra red adapter. Infa
red adapter works fine and when the phone is placed infront of it
windows xp detects it and says nokia 3200 is within range.

Then when i start pc suite 6.1 i try to connect to the phone it either
does not detect it, or says that my phone model is not supported.

Has anyone suscessfully used a 3200 and pc suite 6.1 to back up the
phone book, messages and install new games using application installer
by using an infra red connection.

According to nokias web site the 3200 is definatly compatible with the
pc suite version 6.1.

Any help appriciated.

Try out Mobius from http://www.logomanager.co.uk/download.php and see
if you can get the connection with that software- that may at least
narrow down the problem.

Or better try Oxygen Phone Manager II - http://www.opm-2.com. It's
more friendly and has much more features than Mobius.

Did you have any luck with Mobius? I wouldn't bother with Oxygen as
well- that will just complicate matters (I had loads of connection
issues with that software but Mobius works seamlessly). Remember to
de-select the infrared connection in PC Suite when trying other
software as PC Suite tends to hog the connection otherwise (even if it
doesn't even connect properly anyway!)

Also, just a thought- check that the infrared connection speed is set
to 115200 bps in the driver options.
