Any business model that depends on collusion between strangers to hold
prices up at an artificial level will never survive.

There is always someone else willing to earn a slightly lower profit than
you are.

Around here the going rate is a couple bucks; I think that's much closer to
the real price of what is usually a trivial operation.

Well, i cannot eat rise every day, maiby that why my prices are higher. But i guarantee quality job.
Mesage to "dealers" who unlocking phones for less than 20$ - if you like to eat rise every day, you will have a bad sidevision, try to do following: 1.charge a bit more than 20$ for unlocking; 2.try to have a meat with rise.
I hope this will explain and fix the situation on the market, i hope...

i agree with Magic GSM. price should be $20 and up. unlocking is not cheap any more..
keep in mind we did mention 5 dollar but those are for all nokia phone. nokia phones only need code where other such as motorola and Sonyerisson. unlocker have to spend atleast 30 minutes on each phones.

Nope, most Moto's require a few seconds hooked up to SmartClip, but some of
the newer ones are a complete pain requiring shielding to be removed and
testpoints used. SE handsets can (at the moment) be fairly quickly unlocked
using UFS+HWK or Cruiser, but once the new platform comes online this could
change radically.

At the end of the day, the unlocking market was destroyed some time ago by
the Sunday unlockers offering bedroom unlocking for peanuts meaning that
very few established unlockers could justify the investment in new
equipment.
