6600 charging question

Just got the same phone, it will tell you when the battery is charged.. it
only took mine a few hours.. maybe 1 hour.. did not monitor, but it was
quicker than I thought it would be.

Hi,

Just got a Nokia 6600 and am wondering how long should its first charge be.
The guy in the Orange shop said four hours, but when I bought my 6100 a
while ago I was told first charge should be 16 hours! Please can someone
advise how long my first 6600 chrage should be for.

Have seen many more posts here recommending 14/16 hrs than not. Also, the
6600 battery takes a few full charge/discharge cycles to optimise
performance.

Hunter is right, the first few cycles should be:

about 16-24hrs, regardless of the batt indication.
flat to phone turnoff.
repeat.

This will ensure the maximum life of the batt, regardless of the wideky
claimed "lack of memory" of LiIon batts.
