I wonder if you can help me. I have a Nokia 6600 and something weird has
    just started to happen.

When I receive a text from someone who is in my contacts it displays the
name of the person not their number.

However, I have entered a new contact and I got a text from them today & it
displayed their number & not their name.

I checked the way the number is entered and its the same as the contacts
    whose names appear.
They are entered as (STD code number) not as +44(number)

The only thing I have done to my phone recently is download some themes but
I doubt this would affect my contacts.

So far the number is being displayed for only 1 contact, everyone else
    displays their name.

Why does a text from this 1 contact display their number when everyone
else's texts display their name as entered into the contacts?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Does anyone have any idea's what I can do to solve this problem?

Any help or information will be gratefully received.

    Thanks!

Are the last 5 or 6 digits of the two numbers the same..? Not likely I
know but that would do it. Also is the number stored in both the SIM card
and phone..? If so select one memory only, the default on many Nokias is
    both.

That doesn't apply to the Symbian phones though.

    Ivor, thats not the cause.
I have my numbers on my Sim & phone mem and mine works ok.

All my numbers have the +44 to start with.
Also they need to be in the phone mem (ie not JUST on the sim)
