My only real problem is that it's not possible to let the phone
connect via Bluetooth to a SyncML server. Thus, whenever you want to
sync, you have to pay for the GRPS traffic. That's pathetic, but
certainly a result of the lobbying.
I also find the joystick pad a little painful to use at times. If
I would use the phone more than I do (only rarely), I would probably
go with something else.
About battery life -- I am not impressed but also not let down.
I also find it annoying that I cannot upgrade the firmware and keep
my Nokia sounds.
Hope this helps.

Re: 6230, good phone? pros/cons?
My personal opinion??
Good Phone.
I had the 6600, running Symbian, and was mighty impressed with what it could
do, and I DO miss some of the apps I had loaded.
Decided to get the 6230, and have no problem. Great little phone.
Oh, there is ONE thing that I miss with the 6230, and that's the lack of
ability to retrieve e-mails from my pop3 a/c, INCLUDING attachments, and NOT
having the ability to delete messages from the server. With the 6600 I COULD
do the above, but when using the 6230 I CAN retrieve my pop3 e-mails, but
only as text format (not HTML or WHTML). Also, once I have retrieved the
e-mails on my 6230, and delete them, they are only deleted from the phone,
and NOT from the server (I have to do that when back at my pc).
6230 Better sound quality. Better volume. Smaller, but better, display.
Voice dialling/Voice control(commands) better (alogorithms), and more
responsive. Added bonus of having a built in radio (although I haven't
actively used the radio)
So, in answer to your question....
Good :-) (in my opinion)
Cheers

Original SE or branded/butchered ?
BTW what happened to your Nokia 6600 ? Which is a better specced phone
than both the 6230 and k700i

Re: 6230, good phone? pros/cons?
I have been using the Nokia 6230 in tandem with a SE Z600 recently. I have
been delighted with the 6230 except for 3 issues:
1. The battery cover was real ***** to remove and then replace when the
phone was brand new;
2. The joypad button is really imprecise;
3. Battery life is not great.
Excepting those points I have no major complaints about the 6230. The Z600
is still the better performer in terms of keypad with chunkier, more precise
buttons but there is no competition when it comes to memory and even camera.

its from o2 online, which i don't think is as bad as orange or voda.

Still got it on, using it with an o2 online payg sim with 300 texts.

the k700i does beat the 6600 in several ways, also its apparently got
a better screen. only thing the 6600 wins on is the customizable
symbian os.
