Nokia 6820 - Line 2 Activation

How do I activate the Line 2 facility on my Nokia 6820?

There is no 'Line Selection' menu activated and I cannot switch between
lines by pressing the '#' key.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Assuming you're in the UK, only Orange offer Line 2 and when you subscribe
to it the SIM update you are sent will activate it on your phone.

If you have a phone not provided by Orange, then this is not sufficient -
you need to activate the feature on the phone as well as the SIM. We have
software that lets you do this (contact below if anyone is interested).

If you're talking about NK-Profile 2 Mike, it doesn't work on the 7600
(don't know about the 6820). On the 7600 I had to read off part of the PM,
modify it and write it back to the phone.

I wasn't talking about NKProfile2 - that little application I wrote about 5
years ago and I'd totally forgotten about it!

Yup, already seen that, but it doesn't work on the 7600. The only way I've
found to do it is to read section 4 of the PM off the phone & modify it.

Just been looking into it more - as usual, I have mixed up my NkProfile
versions :-) NkProfile2 supports a lot of phones for this, but only up to
the ones released about 6 months ago - if anybody needs to get it working
with newer phones, then just email support at logomanager directly and we
can see what we can do, as it's usually fairly straightforward to build in
more.
