When I send short data eg. pic files through bluetooth (phone/phone/pc)
thee is no problem. But when i send large file eg.mp3 it got
disconnected half way. I would say i got about 10% success. What is the
problem?

I think there's a problem with bluetooth sessions disconnecting with
the 6230. This also causes my GPRS internet connections to disconnect
when using bluetooth. This was never a problem when I had a 6230 with
version 3.15 firmware, but it does happen with a newer phone which
has 4.43. I'm not sure if its a hardware or firmware problem, but I
wonder whether an upgrade to 4.44 would fix it.

My 4.44 rebooted yesterday when I received a call while listening to
an mp3 file through my bluetooth headset.
It's still slow to turn on, saving photos takes ages (comparative to
my previous 3.17), so I'd guess there's a ways to go yet before
there's anything approaching stable and useable.
Version 5.24 (25-11-04) is out now anyway, so I'd wait until that
becomes available locally rather than bother with 4.44.

Did you ever resolve this problem? I have 4.44 (freshly flashed this
week) and have exactly the same issue.

Not yet.
Someone reported here that v5.24 fixes the problem, but I'd like to
hear confirmation of that. If it does, and when v5.24 is more widely
available I hope that will be a solution.

Re: nokia 6230 bluetooth problem
Just had a go with my colleagues 6230 (firmware v4.44) and had a solid
GPRS connection regardless of the amount of data or length of time
connected.
I swapped my SIM into his phone and again faultless operation, putting
his SIM into my 6230 led to the connection failing once a reasonable
amount of data was sent and/or received.
I am going to take mine back to the repair centre and ask them to look
at it again.

Exactly. Lots of people claim the problem with v4... so far only one has
claimed its solved with v5.24. Hope more people can confirm this.

Just to complicate it further, I noticed someone just reported that he
tried a GPRS connection using a phone with v4.44, and that worked
perfectly well. Its possible the problem could be due to a hardware
problem with some phones.

Re: nokia 6230 bluetooth problem
My 6230 now has firmware v5.24 and the problem has gone away completely.
Solid, consistent bluetooth connection and no unexpected terminations
of the GPRS connection either.
