I have just given my Nokia 3310 to my sister and she has put her SIM card
in. I used to have the Speed dial 1 set to ring my home number. Now that
she has the phone she cannot get access to Speed Dial 1 and when she pushes
the 1 key it still rings me home number.
How can she remove my number from that Speed Dial?

IIRC you can't use 1 as a speed dial, it's permanently allocated to your
voicemail number. Certainly this is the case on my 6210 and 6310i.

Re: Nokia 3310 Speed Dial 1 locked
I assume when your sister put her SIM in your phone the number you had
in Speed Dial 1 was set for her Voicemail Number since providers like
T-Mobile (my service) allocate the 1 key on the phones for Voicemail
and sometimes set the number that was already in that spot for the
Voicemail number. I know on a few of my past phones: motorola v66 and
samsung n105 I had to change it from some 804-xxx-xxxx or 206-xxx-xxxx
number to *123 when I put my sim chip in for the first time.
Have your sister try this:
Click Menu --> Messages --> Voice Messages --> Scroll down to Voice
mailbox number (current number will be shown, I assume it is your home
phone and not her voicemail), press Select, change number, and press
Ok. Voicemail number saved will appear on screen, then just Back out
to main screen. Pressing 1 should then dial whatever number you have
saved in Voicemail Number.

Forgot to also include, at least on my Nokia 6800, 1-touch Dialing DOES
NOT have to be turned on for the 1 key, unlike positions 2-9. I don't
know if this is inherent in all Nokia phones no matter what the service
or just for T-Mobile subscribers. I never got into using 1-touch
Dialing on my phones so I don't have any more info I can offer on this
subject.
