Howdy folks
Could somebody please give me a "Nokia 6600 and SiteCom CN-500" crashcourse?
I'm trying to get these to talk to each other (I want to send picture taken
with the 6600 to a PC), but the phone keeps shutting down the connection
according to the PC.

PS the CN-500 is a bluetooth USB dongle.

What OS are you running? And what version of PC Suite? What drivers do
you currently have installed?
If you're running under XP Service Pack 2, chances are that the MS BT
stack installed, you'll need to uninstall the MS BT stack and prevent it
from installing when you plug your dongle in. See -
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889814
The sitecom website -
http://www.sitecom.com
also has detailed instructions in the support pages on how to download
http://www.sitecom.com/md_download.php?md_id=1645
and the latest drivers that you'll need to download (v1.4.2.11)and install.
Re-post with some more details and I may be able to offer a more
specific solution.
Cheers,
David

The 6600 is a @#$% to get working with the PC. My main problem was I had
the old pc suite software on my machine and that didn't want to install
completely. Then I had to go through some more madness.
Anyway go here http://homepage.mac.com/mark.allerto...es/000047.html.
I know it doesn't mention the 6600 but it worked for me or at least part of
it did. I stop reading it at Go to ""My Bluetooth Places" and create a new
place, using the COM port you just created (B) and connected to your phone
(C)." because I don't have an option to create a new place and have no idea
what he is talking about but my phone is connected. It wont auto connect
like my old phone but that is minor for now.

I'm using XP, no SP. With the software that's on the disk that came with
the CN-500.
