    Hi,

Does anybody know why there is a SIM card slot on a Nokia 3588i phone?

I know this is a CDMA phone and it was used on a Sprint PCS account. A SIM
card was never used - and I understand it is not required for CDMA.

I just wanted to know as a co-worker wanted to have this phone from me and
he asked where the original SIM card was!

Regards and thanks for any info.

Live long and prosper. Damn the Vulcans for stealing our line.

Some newer Nokia CDMA phoness have an unconnected U-RIM card slot beneath
the battery. The feature is not implemented, and putting a SIM card in the
    holder will accomplish nothing.
