I have a pretty old tech 6100. I heard that the IR function on this never
worked. Is this true? Has anybody got it to work before?

I guess it all depends on what you are trying to do with it. You can't
control your TV with it, and you never could. You can't send and receive
pictures with it, it was not meant to, so again that has never worked.
You can send/receive business cards/calendar events. You can connect it
up to your pc with PC suite and access the internet.
So it all depends on what you mean by "work".

Re: Does the IR on Nokia 6100 actually work?
Hello!
Sure, it does. But you need special software to be installed on your PC.
I.e., you cannot beam any images or melodies directly to your Nokia 6100;
you should install special phone management program first.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
