I used to connect my 3510i via a serial cable with OPM2. I have
replaced my PC which nolonger has a serial port. Any suggestions for a
USB data cable that will wotk with this phone.

I think your local computer store will have adapter that goes from Serial to
usb port they are common

Hello!
You need the datacable, based on ProLific PL-2303 chipset. ProLific is
USB-to-Serial bridge chipsets manufacturer and its chipsets are widely used
by lots of thirdparty cable manufacturers. This chipset needs special driver
to be installed. This driver emulates virtual COM port on PL-2303 hardware.

PS: program settings are absolutely the same, as in case of physical COM
port based cable.
