Hi,
As a present, i recently bought myself a Nokia 6681 phone. I bought
this sim free, from a website, to use on O2 (UK), with a PAYG sim card.
The phone in itself is an excellent bit of kit, and is a great symbian
phone. There is only one niggling problem - and its quite a big one....
I cannot call anybody. I go to contacts, select the person, press
green, and it wont call them, it just doesnt do anything. There is
nothing wrong with the button at all, because it works to recieve
calls. Going into the options menu of the ocntact and selecting call,
manually, doesnt work either.
Now, i know symbian phones do have small bugs in them, as with any OS,
but surely this is quite a big one! The only solution to the problem is
to turn the phone off and on again, to resolve it; and after that it
only happens again!
So, my main question is has anyone got this problem, or had it happen,
and is there a solution? I have thought about going to a nokia centre
to have it flashed - but there was no warrenty info delivered with the
phone, will i be covered? Sending it back is an option, but, really
only a last resort!
TIA guys!
Sam

You can have it upgraded at a nokia service center for free, you don't need
any warranty info, just the phone.

Does it have a 2 displayed on the corner of the display? That would
mean that it has switched to line 2 and if you don't have line 2
activated it will not work.
If this is the case press and hold the # key and it will toggle it back
to line 1.
