what means of installation have you tried? (web, cable, other)
what application is it? (is it comercial, share/freeware, home-brewed )
---
The jar file is the file with code and resource files
(images/sounds/data) required for the application.
The jad file is a small text file which might be duplicated in part or
whole in the jar's manifest file. The jad file is useful for
installing, particularly web installs - the web instal link usually
points to the jad file, which contains the url of the jar file.
usually they live in the same directory, and the installer knows how to
figure out the install.
one upload service website rejects jad files, but they may create their
own from jar file data.
Granted, installation failure can be caused by many things
phone/ installer security settings
phone capabilities
worthiness of code
