He's being serious. If you don't know what Net Monitor is, then you don't
need it and should definitely not use it. In the wrong hands it can render
    a phone unusable.

My limited understanding is that It controls how you phone operates in cells
and but I know enough to know I don't understand it so im staying away from
    it.

if you don't know what you are doing it can kill a handset.

to add to that its something an engineer would use to change how your phone
acts, think of the setting like settings in BIOS on your computer.

Wrong, it can't be activated on newer phones (DCT 4 & BB5), it comes as
application on S60 phones or as special firmware version for S40 phones...

this above is a very good web site, but there is nothing about FTD for N70
    ;-(
I have already tryed to use FTD for N6260, 6630, 6680 - none of them work on
    N70;-(

Jimbob - Field Test Display or Netmonitor (different name, but it's the
same) may be danger - it has information mode and execution mode - this
second one may demage your phone - specially if you are curious man;-)

Anyway - if anybody heard about FTD for N70 pleas give me info!

    regards,
    Rafal
