What is the proper way to transfer the phonebook to a PC using a serial data
cable?
Are there any instructions anywhere for this?
I will soon get a new UMTS phone.
If I transfer the phonebook using only the SIM card I will lose half the
numbers
Thanks in advance

Re: Help Nokia 3310
Hello!
Sure! You can backup your Nokia 3310 phonebook, SMS messages and logos using
Oxygen Phone Manager II ( http://www.opm-2.com/opm2/ ) or Oxygen Express (
http://www.oxygen-express.com/ ). Oxygen Phone Manager II allows to make
detailed backup of your phone's data, store them in internal Oxygen Phone
Manager II database and display them in its own grid, while Oxygen Express
just backs your data up to the file, so you could restore these data to
another phone. If you are going to buy Symbian-based smartphone, then we
recommend Oxygen Phone Manager II ( http://www.opm-2.com/opm2/ ) , as Oxygen
Express cannot save information in Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS
phones format ( http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ). You can connect this phone
via technological F-Bus (Full Duplex) cable, which connects to the special
technological socket under the phone's battery. Our software doesn't support
M-Bus (half duplex) cables.
You can download the latest free trial versions of our products here:
http://www.oxygensoftware.com/en/download/
You can find some F-Bus cable suppliers in 'Links' section of our website:
http://www.oxygensoftware.com/en/links/
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us (

I was thinking about your company just before this answer.

I have looked your forum and help file so I found all the things for
connecting the mobile phone with the PC.
You have a great help file. Nokia has discontinued support for 3310 in their
new program. WTF for?
It was the phone with greatest market share at a time.
Anyway, I have connected my Nokia and got all the numbers, sms and other but
there is a problem.
I do not see the ***names*** next to the numbers and also this is the same
with the logomanager.
Thanks again

Re: Help Nokia 3310
Hello!
Thank you for your reply!
Nokia had never supported 3310 model, as it doesn't have official cable
connection.
Regarding names problem: unfortunately, it seems to be general problem of
earlier Nokia 3310 firmwares- they don't return us names values.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us (
