Hi,
I just bought a new Nokia 6010 cell phone. It came with an
advertising sticker completely covering the display window. I peeled
it off, and now there is a disgusting gluey residue left behind, which
obscures the display.
How can I get the junk off? Rubbing alcohol and a cloth? WD40? Dawn
dish detergent? I don't want to leave a haze on the window.
Thanks

Re: Slimy residue after removing Yahoo ad sticker 6010 cell
you could try tee tree oil but that will leave an oily residue to get off
but it will be easy to get off than the sticker residue. have you thought
about taking it back......Nokias should have a protective piece of plastic
over the screen. Who has opened the box to put the advertising on it?
Might be a question worth asking the retailer. Tell them you would like one
without anyone advertising on it.

Either take it back, or use eucalyptus oil, or methylated spirits, or
a big hammer if all else fails.

AHA ! That's the piece of knowledge I was missing! Thankyou ! Nothing
tells you that in the instructions. I was able to clean the glue
residue off the plastic rectangle with rubbing alcohol and toilet
paper, and it's crystal clear now, so I'll just leave it on for now,
to protect the glass.
Thanks.
