Nokia 6230i Hands Free

When using my 6230i. When I take it out of the Nokia Hands free kit it
reads.

Use phone as storage device. It then says accept or reject at the bottom.
If i press reject it comes back to the same or if I press accept it says:
Date storage mode detected. Then it goes to use phone as storage device
again.

Any help appreciated.

Im sure someone will be along soon with more specific information but its a
firmware issue with the phone.

I had the same problem when the phone first came out I had to wait for a
couple of months for updated FW to be released but soon asit was updated
that problem was fixed. Go to a local Nokia Service center and get the FW
updated. Carphone warehouse are approved Nokia Service Centres (check the
web for your nearest) of just google.

I am assuming its a CKW7 car kit. If thats the case, then maybe use the
phone via bluetooth until you updated the FW. You could unplug the connector
at the bottom of the nokia holder and plug in a fag lighter car charger to
charge the phone but connect to the kit via bluetooth.
