I recently picked up a Nokia E62. I have found most applications I think I
may need with the exception of 2. FTP client and a Remote Desktop client.
Anyhow, on to the question... When I try to use a few of the app's the phone
asks me if it's ok to send data on the network. How can I get around this? I
have given the app permission to connect in the app manager. Is there some
setting I am missing?
Thanks,
Tommy

Cingular has apparently altered the E62's firmware such that java apps
must ask for permission each time they want to access the internet. No
one has reported a way around this so far. The only solution is to use
native Symbian apps (.SIS, .SISx) which work ok.

I'm pretty sure I've seen an ftp client that'll work. google S60 V3 FTP
& you should get some hits.
