I'm sure that most of you must've been looking for a way to use your
phone as a torch, using the camera flash, of course because it is much
better solution than the weak screen illumination.

I have already expressed my thoughts about the missing torch feature
and appeal on Nokia to add more functionality to the side keys in idle
mode jus like on the good old Nokia N93 but, unfortunately, Nokia
refuse to accept our complains and most of the latest S60 devices will
simply leave you in the dark without ability to activate the led flash
and to use it as torch light to find your way around in the dark our
discreetly read the newsp... .. .

When in dire need for some extra illumination, you could (this works
on their N80, and I have no idea if it works on any other)
Start up the camera, and choose to record a movie, while recording (or
pausing recording) the LED-flash, glows. It does not illuminate as
well as the flash-mode of it does, but it keeps on glowing, instead of
    just flashing.
