    Hi,

I've got a Nokia 6280 with a broken screen that I intend to sell.
However, I would like to wipe all the text messages, etc. Could
someone tell me the keyboard shortcuts I need to do a factory reset or
the keystrokes to at least delete all text messages and address book
    entries.

I know you can walk through the menus using the number keys, but the
manual doesn't seem to document them.

    Thanks,
    John

Would the 6280 factory settings reset personal info, I assume not. And it
should not have any factory reset feature.

Why not connect the phone with a cable (or BT if you can figure out) to PC
Suite and delete the info there.

OK, I thought there was an option to do a factory reset and wipe
    everything.

I have in fact managed to get the IR connection working and remove
most stuff. The only thing I can't sort out is my contacts - for some
reason, when I try and delete a contact, PC suite just comes back
saying the operation couldn't be completed. The phone also beeps at
this point, but I've no idea what it is saying.

    cheers,
    John
