When I switched on my Nokia E75 today, it showed a message: "inportant phone
update". So I thought I'd connect to the PC with Nokia suite on it, to do
the update. Trying this, Nokia suite says: "no updates".
Why do they make things so confusing? Are there updates or are there NO
    updates???

When I look in the phone, I read a message about some Nokia updater which
I'm supposed to download from internet. Do I need this,, apart from Nokia
    Suite?

I've been getting reminders every few days recently that a new version
(3.2.100) of Nokia Suite is available. I'm already running v3.2.100
and if I download the recommended "update" the installation hangs part
    way through.

I assume that's another update than "phone software"? Do they mean firmware?
    (My version number: 211.12.01)

Its PC software, but maybe an indication that Nokia is up the creek as
far as issuing update advisories is concerned.
