Any leaks on Pureview 808 with MS W8?

General sale of the Pureview 808 has been delayed until July [at the
earliest].

Recently Microsoft announced Windows 8 for mobile phones.

Fairly obviously a sorted 808 would have the following: -

1. W8 instead of Symbian

2. High resolution screen (e.g. qHD as on Motorola Razr)

Both of these are quite big changes, but should be on their road map...

Sorry to answer my own post but

Announced today.

Spec still sketchy, but appears promising.

What's good: -

"HD+" display (resolution not stated, but probably at least qHD)

Wireless charging.

32Gb on board plus micro SD expansion (so another 32Gb)

Windows 8

clever CPU

no hump

What's bad

Only 8Mp camera - not even the 12Mp in the N8, less still the 41Mp in the
808!



More info likely soon.


OTOH looks like Nokia marketeers still can't cut the mustard :-(
