Re: InfraRed Port (in)compatability with Nokia phones
Personally I have not found any problems with Nokias and that other
phones are the touchy ones. So as far as I could tell any adaptor is
fine. I get away with an MA600 (serial) but you can get hold of some
pretty neat USB dongles now (shaped like a memory key). I think any
laptop IR adaptor (internal) is also fine.

I'll second that on my Inspiron 8200.

Re: InfraRed Port (in)compatability with Nokia phones
I use MA-620 for my Nokia 6100 & Ericsson T300, no problems on both.

I have a 4 yr old Gateway laptop and a 6 month old HP laptop and they
both work fine with my 3650, 6340i, and 3360.

Re: InfraRed Port (in)compatability with Nokia phones
had Nokia 8310, 6510, 7110, 6610, and now my pride and joy 7250 all
connected to toshiba tecra via IR.
sometimes they lose the connection due to incorrect positioning etc, but
otherwise working fine.
using std windows InfraRed manager in the control panel and Pc suite V5.1
