I just bought an extra BLC-2 battery for my Nokia 6800 from
www.cellularaccesscory.com. It appears almost identical to the battery
that came with my phone. It even powers up my phone. However, it is
distinctly thicker than my original, by about 1 millimeter, which blocks
the back of the phone from closing. They claim it's the same as my
original, and Nokia doesn't have a clue. However, it's definitely a tad
bigger and my phone back simply won't close with it in. Anyone have
similar experience? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: BLC-2 Battery
not too long ago there have been reports about a woman who face was burned
by an exploding battery. nokia claimed that that was due to a battery that
was not original (i.e., cheaply made you know where) with sortcuts taken to
save money but compromise safety. i would think that after this incident,
nokia would take measures to assist owners in identify fakes
one more proof that their customer service sucks

Why not ask them?
The BLC-2 batt is thicker than the BLD-3 batt. This may be the batt that comes
with your phone?
It most possibly is an original BUT it can just as easily not be. Ask the
company?
Hope that is of some help for you :-)
