Please can someone help me with this problem as the Nokia Operator who
sounds about 12 just says Mmm? Er! a lot....

I've just got O2 to send me my WAP settings for a Nokia 3410 I acquired
today. So, I *tried* to download, via O2 arcade, a java game. Half way
through downloading it, an error message flashed up saying 'file format
unknown', yet it continued to download. When I try to open the game from
'applications' (where it is successfully listed as 'froggit') I get a blank
screen. The only way out of this blank screen is to press the red 'end call'
button. I phoned them up and they said to clean the sim (bull****) and try
again to dl it as any attempts to dl the same game will be free for 24
hours. I've made 5 attempts and get the same problem. I've had to make 3
calls to O2 operators who have pushed me from pillar to post at a cost of £8
(yes, on top of the £2.50 they robbed off me for the 'non game'). I ended up
slamming the phone down last time. Anyone know why this has happened?

Many thanks for any help with this.

At a cost of £2.50 I've just tried the download you mentioned.
Worked just fine. Guess you were unlucky.
S*&t game anyway. You wouldn't like it.
    Not even for £2.50
The 3410 is actually a mobile phone.
    Buy a 'Nintendo gameboy'.

I've tried again and again to download this game, as (apart from the wap
charges) it is free for 24 hours for me to try. I know the games aren't that
hot...but it's a new phone and I just wanted to check if I *can* download
successfully. I'm not a true games head and don't want a gameboy. I just
like to pass the 20 mins or so bus ride to work and am bored of the other
games (most were on my old 3310). Anyway, I've cleared my cache and done
everything right as far as I can see. Why would it work on yours and not
mine I wonder? (I presume it *is* a 3410 you have?). I just successfully
downloaded a nice little platform game from 'Nokia Shop' via text/pay by
phone, so I'm wondering if it's something wrong with the WAP side of things
(either my phone or an error at Nokia).

D'ya reckon I'll be refunded if I chase it up?

    Cheers anyway.
