Upgrading 8310 firmware

I want to get the firmware in my 8310 upgraded.

Do I have to use a Nokia service centre to get this done?

Is there any reliable non-Nokia service in the UK able to do it more
cheaply? Any idea of cost?

No, but if it's under warranty, you would be well advised to use an NSC to
keep your warranty intact.

Plenty of places do it, ourselves included.
