Hi, I got a Nokia 3650 three days ago (T-Mobile), and it rebooted itself
twice. Once I was just editing a number in my contact list, and all of a
sudden it wouldn't take numbers keyed in, the display faded, and the phone
rebooted. I forgot what I was doing the other time, may have been using WAP.
Should I exchange the phone? I'm wondering if it may have a short in it. (I
have a home cordless phone that if you hold it in the wrong spot, sometimes
it shuts off, could this be similar, or does it sound like a fixable problem
on the 3650?) Also, a few times when calling, the other party would answer,
and all of a sudden complete silence after about a second or two. I looked
at the phone display and it said the call was still connected, so it wasn't
really a dropped call, and the call wasn't obviously breaking up, had good
reception, full signal strength bars. Phone or T-Mo on this one? I'm the one
who just posted about earpiece volume, but forgot to mention these problems.
TIA,
Dan

Hi Eric, if you had the same problems, did you get return the phone for a
new 3650 and if so did the new one work OK? Thanks,
Dan

Re: 3650 rebooting itself, Defective?
Wow, I just did an A/B comparison on the picture quality of my 2 3650's, and
used the same subjects for both at the same time. I bluetoothed the images
to my PC. The 3650 I got from AT&T were much sharper and a little brighter
than the T-Mo 3650. T-Mo's pics came out a little blurry and somewhat muddy
looking. I like the T-Mo service, and I have both phones and services in
their trial periods right now. I will take AT&T's back, and ask T-mo to give
me a (hopefully) better functioning 3650. I think I have 30 days on AT&T, so
I'll switch the T-Mo phone and compare the new one against the AT&T one
before I return it.

Interesting. Check the firmware version on each by entering *#0000#,
and see if the version numbers are different. That might be the
biggest difference.
Version 3.16 is current in the US.

Mine was a bit dodgy when I first bought it, kept having kernel panics and
wanting to shut down 'App Closed' stuff, thought I'd exchange it straight
away. Didn't feel right. I have a goody now.
