Nokia 6600 Question

Hi.

Can anyone tell me if the Nokia 6600 can use MP3s as ring tones.

I am able to edit MP3s and intend to keep the files small (under 1MB)
so transfering them to the mobile isn't goting to be a problem, I just
want to know if I can set them as ringtones!

No you cant use mp3 as ring tone, 6600 using a true tones which menas WB-AMR format (compressing
format similar to mp3), you can download nokia multimedia converter from forum.nokia site
(registration requid) for simple converting mp3 an wav sounds to amr.

Yes you can

With the pc suite it will put the MP3's on your phone then the memory card
then on to the memory of the phone it worked just fine

No you cant, if you use PC suite for transfering mp3 file they will be automatic converted to wav
files, so you cant use mp3 as ring tone.
