I have fitted 2 new nokia bluetooth car kits to 2 of my company cars but
    have been having problems.

The phone (6600) registers with the car kit and works ok for about a minute
then the speaker on the car kit cuts out. The call is still connected and
the other end can hear my end ok but i cant hear a thing. Any further calls
have the same problem. Has anybody else experianced this problem. As the
same fault has occured with both units i wondered if this was a common fault
    or anyone had any advise.

    Thanks

    Neil

I had a similar problem with aftermarket kits for nokia 3390, kits were not oem
nokia. you'd get a word or two of good sound from the speaker, then very
muted. It was a challenge to return them as the distributor claimed they were
used (yes, i had installed them)... and anything else they could think of
    rather than refund...

I use a CK-1W in my car with a 6600 and it has worked fine so far. No
    problems yet!

I had exactly the same problem using a Parrot CK3000 bluetooth car kit.

The solution is that the electronic "brain" installed in the car needs a
software update. Any reputable car audio installer can do this for you.

My local ICE installer carried out the work for £25 and everything now works
    fine.

    Hope this helps.

I doubt it does - unlike your Parrot, Nokia kits are not upgradeable.
The issue may be the phone, not the kit. Early production 6600 had
some bad bugs and although I did not hear anything about BT problems,
you never know. The software version number would be the same as it is
in the later phones, so there is no way of checking other than taking
another phone and trying it with your kit.
