A year ago I signed up for 2000 AT plus Free add-a-phone + free Vision
+ Free PCS - PCS for $85.00 pm I could add N&W for $10.00 pm (from
9:00 pm.
In response to expected HEAVY churn, now that numbers can be
transfreed from carrie to carrier, all Sprint Offers is MORE COST than
this plan last year at the same time. And much of what they offer
(free add-a-phone etc.) lasts ONLY for 3 months. N&W starting at 7:00
pm rather than 9:00 pm is nice, but not a big determinator IMHO (at
least for me).
So I expect SprintPCS to suffer huge churn and their defensive
offerings are just not good enough to retain customers whose contracts
are ending. Also as a way of attracting new members from other
carriers these offerings will likely not stand out as good enough.
How do others feel? Have the new SprintPCS missed the mark badly?

Like most major businesses, I think Sprint will wait until most of the
horses have left the barn before trying to close the barn doors.

The plans they've signed up for don't terminate when the contract
expires, so you'll get to keep the plan you have.
I've had the $30 300 anytime/unlimited nights and weekends for about
two years, and the $10 unlimited Vision plan for more than a year now.
Are the new plans worse? Who else offers 7 PM nights?

That's a misconception of some of the folks here, where they believe their
current deals will go away, once their AA expires. Plans currently
subscribed to never expire. Some folks are still on those 7 year old Pioneer
plans, with no monthly service charge and $0.35/min. for incoming and
outgoing calls.

It seems the plans spread out with the cheaper getting cheaper (or
stay the same) and the expensive plans getting more expensive and a
combination of the base price staying the same but the add-ons like
P2P and Vision going up.
I got a 2000 minutes plan+F&CA around May with 2 extra add-on phones
for a total of $130 +tax (minus a partner company discount of a few
bucks) It is $100 +free +$20 for the three phones. All three phones
have FC&A, a Vision pak and free P2P with a 9pm N&W start. That plan
today would cost $100 (vision free on first phone with 2000 minute
plan) +$25 for each add a phone with Vision and free P2P with 2 year
contract. I've seen references to F&CA for $5 but I don't know if
that is per phone or not, so basically I'd pay $155 or $165 for the
same thing now.
Since I've had the plan, the most anytime minutes I've used was about
1000 so I've got room to spare so the 7pm N&W start would not be an
advantage to me. At the time I got the contract, the overall
difference between the 600 and 2000 minutes plan was only $20 (with
the 2000 minute plan, first add a phone was free saving $20 and the
600 minute plan was $40 cheaper) so it seemed worth it. I think
others mentioned the same plan I have now was offered at an earlier
time frame for a base price of $85 which would be even cheaper yet.
So it appears that the plans have gone up in some instances..
