Good to have confirmation from a SprintPCS employee about SprintPCS
improperly sliding an expiration date forward to the end of a billing
period. I will save this posting.

I just emailed SprintPCS declaring myself without contract as a result
of their unilateral change to the contract.

Interesting, considering that isn't what I said. Steve was talking
about changing Area Codes, and I was agreeing with that point.

Actually, he's right. The original point was that contract dates get extended
when they shouldn't be. Not the fault of the CSRs - the blame lies squarely
on the management that either OK'd the billing system automatically changing
the dates, or didn't bother fixing it when it was discovered that it was
broken (and I know they have to know that it does what it does).

My example of moving my service from one marketing region to another is
just an example of that problem.

As I've said before, Sprint is ripe for either a really big lawsuit, or
ripe for getting spanked *hard* by a bunch of state Attorneys General like
AOL did when their dialup network went to hell and everyone started getting
busy signals all the time. Forget churn and pissed-off customers (which can
also be a problem in this situation!) - Sprint is asking for legal trouble
if they don't fix the situation soon.

If Sprint management is smart, they'll fix the problem, and quick.

True, but a wavering date on the web site is hardly proof=20
positive that the contract has, in fact, been extended.

I'm not trying to deny that there is *a* problem. Only=20
stating that possible web site error doesn't qualify that=20

Try this. I call *2, have a 10 minute hold, and they give the
incorrect date, and insist it must be correct as thats what the
computer shows. I ask to be escalated, and the CSR who has refused
to identify himself other than "Mike" hangs up. Email to eCare also
gives the wrong date, and tells me to call *2.

    Time for Executive Services?

Luckily I have my July bill showing the date the plan changed, and
printouts from the web, showing the correct date and the changed date,
    which you eschew.

You know there is. And I'm glad Mr. Sobol agrees.

Executive Services has now waived my Contract, and says they will
    further investigate Billing system errors.

Would you mind telling us the details of the 'waived' contract. What did
they say they will do. You did say you just mailed a letter, so how did
they respond so quick? I just want to be sure that you are not trying to
save face, and in the process tearing down Sprint like our resident Sprint
    Assassin.

OK, I correct my statement, you said you emailed them. Still, my questions

Rob was just saying that the web site isn't the ultimate source of info.
I'd personally rather call CS instead. He wasn't denying the problem.

CSR's have no authority to alter Advantage Agreements.

Where did I say they did?

CSRs are able to see what's in the computer. I would trust that rather than
trust the website. Just my personal preference. I wasn't saying they had
    any authority to alter contracts.
