I need to find a source for a pigtail connector for a Novatel Merlin
C201 PC card. Barring that, I could homebrew one myself if I knew what
kind of socket the C201 uses (underside below a rubber plug).
My outdoor antenna terminates with a female FME connector, so what I
need to do is find (or make myself) a C-201 to male FME pigtail
connector.
Thanks,

Hi, am curious about this myself, would love to be able to hook up an
external antennae to y C201 also. I have been very reluctant to try to
pull that rubber plug out, what makes you think thats where you could hook
up an external antennae?

Here is what is on the Novatel support website:
--------
http://tinyurl.com/vr6n
Question:
Does the Merlin C201 card support the use of an external antenna?
Answer:
The antenna port on the Merlin C201 does allow the attachment of an
external antenna, although thats not its primary use. Excessive
wearing of the antenna port may result if the connector is subjected
to frequent insertion and removal cycles.
--------
I'm not planning any *frequent insertion cycles*, so Novatel's caveat
does not apply to my application.
The C201 comes in Sprint PCS flavor only, so a phone call to Novatel
tech support ends up going directly to Sprint. And Sprint does not
care about external antennas. I'm still waiting for an email response
from Novatel Tech Questions site, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm pretty sure it's a micro SMA
