They also haven't updated the coverage maps in over 8 months. They
still don't show Camp Pendleton along I-5 in Southern CA as having
coverage even though it has since August.

I still can't enter that site to check email. In the user name box, are you
including your full email address, and in the sprintpcs password, or the
vision password. I've tried all combinations with no luck so far.

    Bob -
Use your *email* password. (The same password is used for pop
retrieval of email from pop.sprintpcs.com as is used for the web
    interface at pop.sprintpcs.com.)

Yes, another password. This is different than the sprintpcs management
    password and the vision password.

By default, the password is unset, so attempting to retrieve mail
without tending to that bit won't work. Go into the email preferences
portion of the sprintpcs website & set the password there.

Thanks Nul, No can do on setting up the password right now. Apparently, the
authentication server is down, when trying to set up a new password.

Maybe the tech you were talking to wasn't aware of the separate
pop.sprintpcs.com site. I finally got in, and it's nice. Very quick indeed.
Only thing I wished it offered was the ability to add filters, like from the
other email web page we are familiar with.
