Well I broke my a500 fortunately I have the equipment replacement program
and they sent me a rl2000?!? that was there comparable model. I called them
back and said I don't like what they sent me and they asked why I needed a
clamshell phone!! I said because it was what I liked hence why I bought one
in the first place. After a while I finally got them to agree to send me a
different phone although they refused to tell me which one. It would seem to
me that if they could not send me the exact phone that I had that they would
want to go over what they are sending so they don't have to deal with
sending out additional phones for the same claim. Oh well can't wait to see
what they send me next. Rich

Re: lockline replacement
That is exactly why I don't believe in purchasing equipment warranties or
loss replacement programs because in the end you generally end up getting
screwed and you are generally just better off just outright purchasing a
replacement.

Look, if they continue to give you hell, let me know. I might be
interested in an RL2000, and I just had my A500 replaced by Circuit
City, so it's quite fresh, and has coverage to early summer 2005. ##RUN
shows the phone is not reconditioned. I have authentic Samsung (not
sprint or off-brand) leather case, extra Samsung battery, extra Samsung
wall charger and Samsung car charger. I also have a Futuredial Hydra
cable (supports SnapSync and SnapDial) and an off-brand plastic clip. I
have the phone's original manual and box as well.

If your experience is anything like mine, they'll send you another r12000.
