AT&T Wireless Tops Cellular-Service is tops Customer Complaints to the
    FCC.

The Article explains how the WSJ obtained information the cellular
carriers dont want you to have by invoking the Federal "Freedom of
Information Act Request". They then tabulated complaints to FCC versus
    number of carrier's customers.

AT&T has the most complaints, and Sprint PCS comes in second.

A spokesman for Sprint PCS declined to comment on the complaint figures.

"We take this customer feedback seriously; we take all customer feedback
seriously," an AT&T Wireless spokesman said.

Tell us something new Phillip. Nobody here needed the Wall Street
Journal or some poll from JD Powers to tell us that. You didn't post
this because it was something others should know, you posted this
because of your inherant spiteful nature and general trollishness.

Actually, he must like SprintPCS if he is giving it a complement like that,
SprintPCS is better than AT&T. <sic> and <grin>.
    Thanks for the compliment.

Just reporting the story. No one else has.

When I receive bad service, I report it, and where apropriate
    get compensation.

"In the third quarter, AT&T Wireless had a rate of 6.4 complaints per
100,000 customers. The rate of complaints for Sprint PCS was next highest at
4.0 per 100,000 customers, while T-Mobile USA Inc. had complaints of 3.5 per
    100,000."

4 per 100,000? This figure is low really. So there are what 50 or so people
    out there who "filed complaints"?
I think that's a good figure since there are bound to be mistakes.

I wonder how many complaints there is against MSN? Are you going to switch
ISPs as well? They are rated bottom in ISPs as well.
    Better change now, hurry up.

    Why are you still here?

Why must everything have ulterior motives? It was a relevant story

You do more than that. You are a vindictive coward who hides behind
multiple aliases. You are spiteful and quick to throw stones, yet you
throw stones at the very company that you transferred your service back
    to, Sprint PCS.

Everything does not have to have ulterior motives. But when it comes
from you there can be no doubt that there is one. You dug your own hole
long ago and fell in, and I think it is much to late for you to rectify
    it now.

Funny that you should mention switching ISPs. Phillip (aka Steve
Castron) is known to have posted in some of the Houston newsgroups about
looking for a new provider. He seems to have not left
Earthlink/Mindspring since those posts ... so again, he is unsuccessful
at a switch ... perhaps a little fickle he is.

"Half empty" at all turns ay?

Hm. Or maybe just likes to complain, just for the sake of complaining.
I have a friend that likes to start an argument just to have an argument.
It's like a hobby for him.
    Maybe the same?

"I would like the 5 minute argument please.....". ;-)

Sprint has roughly 20 million customers, so 4 per 100K totals 800 complaints
officially filed with the FCC in a single quarter (3-month period). Since
Sprint's figure is higher than that of all the other major carriers save
AT&T Wireless, it cannot be considered "good" in a competitive sense.
Whether the figure is *significant* depends on other factors, such as:

    1) What is the best such figure among the major carriers? Is there a large
or a small spread between Sprint's figure and the best?

    2) What percentage of unhappy customers actually file an official complaint
with the FCC? If 100% do, then Sprint's figure indeed represents only 800
unhappy customers out of its entire 200-million customer case. On the other
hand, if only 1% of unhappy customers complain to the FCC, then those 800
complaints represent 80K unhappy customers. Not disastrous, but disturbing.

Re: AT&T Wireless beats out SprintPCS: WSJ Reports

My surprise to the Wall Street Journal article was that the ratio
of complaint-rates between the "worst" and "best" wireless carriers
    was only a little more than 4 : 1.

The way some of the malcontents rave around here,
you'd think the ratio would be more like 100 : 1.

(I used quote marks above because that's a really narrow way
to rate "best" and "worst" carriers.)

Wow, dude- talk about a reputation coming back to bite you in the ass.
Maybe if you had looked at a few relevent facts before posting, you could
have saved yourself a bunch of grief:

    - your track record around here
    - a more complete report than the WSJ provided in the article you posted
    - the difference between first and worst is going to end up being something
like 0.005% by customer base. Don't you think that just might make the
'results' meaningless when talking about best and worst?

If you don't want to get crapped on, do some homework before opening your
    mouth.
