    Re: New Sprint PCS promotion

    The "fine" print:

    From the website:

"This special offer ends April 3, 2004. Requires purchase and activation of
a new line of service with a two-year Sprint PCS Advantage Agreement. Offer
available on Sprint PCS Free & Clear Plans starting at $45; Sprint PCS Free
& Clear America Plans starting at $50; and Sprint PCS Free & Clear Area-wide
Plans starting at $45. May not be available in select markets; call for
    pricing and availability."

So, it looks as though existing customers are excluded, unless they add a
line. I for the life of me, don't really see the value in 2 months of
unlimited calling, but I'm sure some people will sign up for it.

    Value to users? not much...

The value is in getting people into the habit of using their cellphones a lot.

I agree. Only value I can see.. entice people to sign up and talk a lot. I
meant value to me as an existing customer.

Oh, there is none to you, unless you plan on talking a lot in the next couple
months. Sprint's the ultimate beneficiary of this promotion.

Actually, existing customers can get it, too. Sign a 2-
year agreement, get unlimited minutes for two months.

Where did Robert say the plan was only for new customers?

Hold on everyone I wouldn't sign anything with Sprint. Sprint is a
awful bad company to deal with. I've signed up with them and used
their service for 2 days. I have since then been lied to by the
company, overbilled, harassed verbally and have spent hours of my time
and money. Sprint and a 2 year contract means getting billed
thousands wrongly and having bad phone service. If i only saved one
person from dealing with Sprint id happy.

Addressed in the other thread in which you posted the entire story, I believe.

You'd have more credibility if you didn't post the same rant time after time
after time, sometimes posting it multiple times in any given week. I'm not
commenting on the validity of what you're saying, just that it is annoying as
hell when I see it over and over and over and over and over and over...

    > Sprint and a 2 year contract means getting billed

I've not had major billing problems with them. And I don't see how you could
claim you know that a two year SPCS contract means getting billed "thousands"
of dollars incorrectly when you cancelled before the trial period was up,
unless somehow you got billed thousands of dollars on your first bill... and
granted, I do know Sprint has some problems with initial bills, but own up,
is that what happened, or are you just pissed that your activation fee wasn't
    refunded?

Look between the triple asterisks above, Phillie. That=20
hardly looks to be including existing customers. There's=20
no requirement whatsoever for a new line of service.

Once again yoiu are embarressment to Sprint PCS. I directly quote from
Sprint. You invent your own interpretation, and say I did wrong.

" Unlimited Anytime Minutes for first 2 months with new plan for 2
    years. "

Where within that quote does it say new customers only??? Is English not
    your native language?

What's truly interesting about that key-tripping tirade of=20
yours, Phillie, is that no one criticized, blamed, or=20
otherwise faulted you for it. I simply pointed out that=20
existing customers can avail themselves of this offer.
