    Hi all,

I have heard from a couple different people on the net and in person that
they were able to get 750 AT and Unlimited N/W for $40. I don't see this
plan listed on the Sprint PCS website, so I guess it's either an
unadvertised plan or a retention plan.

If I were able to get this plan, it would be a considerable jump from my 300
minutes, unlimited N/W for $30. My question is, is this a retention plan?
What are my chances of getting this plan if I call *2?

    Thanks,

    Mark L

the FAQ has the listed plans. None of these are on their website. If you
find any others, let me know here.

3 chances. Slim, none, and your wildest fantasizes.

If you are out of Contract, then you'd call Cancellation, at
1-866-207-7913, and discuss what they could offer you for you to renew
    your contract.

The longer you've been a customer, and the better your payment history
the better chance it seems that gives you.

OK-here is a prime example of you not listening to people when they have
pointed out inaccuracies in your document. All commercially available rate
plans are listed on sprintpcs.com.This was pointed out at least a half dozen
times (by different people) before you posted this. Retention plans will
never be posted (out of sound business practice), and Sprint (or any other
carrier) is under absolutely no obligation to offer any of the rumored
retention plans, which can change without notice.

Well, I wanted to call sprint about possibly updating my PRL updated. Since
I was on the phone with the rep, I asked about the plan. At first he tried
to play dumb and offered me the 500 minute plan. I told him I didn't want
that plan and that if I changed to any other plan, it would be the plan that
I orginally asked for. He suddenly became more knowledgable about the plan
I was referring to and told me it was a retention plan. He asked me to hold
for a couple minutes to see if I qualified for the plan or not. I didn't
think he would give me the plan because for one, I renewed for 2 years with
the 7PM option, and I've been late paying my bill on a handful of occasions
for various reasons including having my phone service temporarily suspended
pending payment. So, admittedly I don't have the best credit history with
Sprint PCS. Much to my suprise, he came back onto the line and said I could
    have the plan.

    So, now I have:
    750 AT Minutes
    Unlimited N/W
    Unlimited PCS-PCS
    $40/Month.

I was so excited about getting the plan that I forgot to ask if I get the
7PM nights included in that price, or if it's going to continue to be an
additional $5/month. I'm going to call in the next day or two to find out
for sure. I suspect that my final bill will be with an additional $5
charge, thus making my plan worth $45/Month.

It pays to ask Sprint for what you want, regardless of the situation. The
worst they can say is "no".

I got an email from Sprint today:

    Account Number:
    **********
    Customer Name:
    ******* ******

    PCS Phone:
    SANYO® SCP-4900

    PCS Phone Number:
    (***) ***-****
    Monthly Recurring Charge*:

    $40
    Service Plan Effective Date:

    03-31-2004
    Contract:
    PCS ADVANTAGE AGREEMENT

    Contract Start Date:
    03-31-2004
    Contract End Date:
    03-31-2006
    Early Termination Fee:
    $150
    Account Spending Limit:
    $200

Now I have to decide if I want to keep the 7PM nights option. It's
only one more hour and I think 8PM will do me just as good. I also need to
find out for sure about PCS-PCS minutes, because I previously had them
included as part of my original 2 yr contract, and I was under the
impression that that aspect wasn't changing. I'm also dumping vision at the
end of the supposed 2 month free trial ends.

    Mark PCS Service Plan:

    750 ANYTIME MINUTES
    UNLIMITED NIGHT & WEEKEND MINUTES
    NIGHTS: M-TH 8PM-7AM WKND: F 8PM-M 7AM
    ALL MINUTES INCLUDE LONG DISTANCE
    CALLER ID, CALL WAITING
    THREE-WAY CALLING
    VOICEMAIL

    Additional Services:

NIGHTS MINUTES - NOW STARTING AT 7PM
