The Vacation Plan

I am sure this has been mentioned before and I wish I would have paid more
attention. I don't have a contract with Sprint. I can put my service on
the vacation plan - which means for $5 per month plus taxes I can keep my
plan active and keep the same phone number. This would be good for people
who want to try out a different service or who don't always need cell
service (we use Sprint/Vision when we travel). I imagine if you have a
contract it would just extend your contract period if you do this. DonnaB

It was my understanding that it would not hold your old plan, that
when you ended the vacation, you would have to choose from a then
available plan.

You're right, Jerome. The Vacation plan basically keeps your phone=20
number "warm" for you until you come back. And yes, it requires=20
renewal of the agreement.

Well - I don't have a contract agreement as I pay the extra $10 a month. So
are saying when I go to reactivate my service I might not get the plan I was
on which was 300 anytime unlimited NW 8pm for $30 + $10 for month to month?
I was not told this. DonnaB

Can someone in the middle of a contract get a vacation plan? For what
duration?

That's correct. When you come back from a vacation plan, you have to
choose a plan that is currently being offered by Sprint. I don't think
they will require you to sign a new agreement since you are
month-to-month. But they will make you change to a more current plan,
so beware.

Sure. It puts you in a kind of "account holding pattern"=20
for up to 11 months. When a customer calls to cancel=20
because of contingencies like layoffs, etc, it's one of the=20
first things I offer. So long as you sign up for whatever=20
agreement on the other end of it, and for whatever plans=20
are available when you come back, we can set this up=20
anytime.
