Just Swap the Phone Numbers?

I have 2 SPCS phones, one personal and one business. This is what I have
today:

Personal Phone Samsung A500 / 817-xxx-xxxx / 300+180AT/ $30 per month
Business Phone Samsung VGA 1000/ 817-yyy-yyyy / 1100 AT / $65 per month

Should I be able to have SPCS switch me to:

Personal Phone Samsung A500 / 817-yyy-yyyy / 300+180AT/ $30 per month
Business Phone Samsung VGA 1000/ 817-xxx-xxxx / 1100 AT / $65 per month

Basically, keep everything the same except change the phone numbers. They
told me that this would be considered a plan change and I don't want a plan
change. Just a phone number swap between the 2 plans.

If, by chance, you've got an extra phone you could do it --- without going
the new plan route. It'd take 3 ESN swaps --- the first takes one of your
lines and puts it on the donor phone; after that settles out you do an ESN
swap with the A500 and the VGA 1000; then swap out the loaner phone with the
phone that's left over. Ya, it's convoluted as hell, but it gets it done.

Most likely not.

The plans are attached to the phone numbers, so you could swap the
A500 and VGA1000 number and plan.

So your A500 would have 817-yyy-yyyy at the $64 plan while the VGA1000
would be at the 817-xxx-xxxx number with the $30 plan. To get the
plans back to the $30 for the A500 and the $54 for the VGA1000, you'd
have to change the plans.

That could change the handsets, but the numbers will still be
associated with the same plans.
