If you stop replying to the TROLL, we might finally be able to get rid of
him.

For every "crap posting" of his, there are x number of responses.
While his crap might not stop, by cutting down on the sheer
number of responses, the board will be thinned, significantly.
(Mind you, some of his posts are well though out and constructive.
Personally, I don't mind those. It's the name-calling, immature,
"Sprint-always-sucks" posts that I'm tired of.)

I've gotta disagree with you, in part.
If you "call him out when he shows another ID," the problem is perpetuated.
Just ignore him.

Don't worry, I'm not going to get into a back-and-fourth posting match with him.
He twisted the new plan around, I corrected him. Now I'm done.

FYI ... the troll will respond to you for posting this message, so he
knows who he is already. Further, if he hasn't left in almost one year,
why do you think he will leave now?

Good, But now look, he posted another damn faq.
If you must respond to his B.S. try to do it w/o directly responding.
A. This cuts him out somewhat and B. if he responds with his usual crap
it allows new folks to see what a turd he is.
I would respond to him by just cutting out his id , you can keep the
original header that way.

Well during the last year has anyone ever tried to stop him ?.
NO, the push here is to stop responding, this has not been done to any
effect because too many people give up or don't go along to start with.
I have seen this work , but as long there are folks who don't have the
self discipline to ignore the fool he'll stay.

The last attempt to do this is what caused him to start changing IDs in
the hope that people did not know it was him to which they were
responding. This at some point also spawned Richard, whom Phillip was
then having a conversation with to support his own argument and keep his
ego intact. He was busted and now the 70+ ids are a part of his
promiscuous history.

Agreed.
The troll's not an idot, he's a troll.
He's *not* gonna go away 'cause we ignore him. He's a troll.
By stopping the responses to him, only one thing will be
accomlished, and that's the amount of crap posted in this
newsgroup in response to him and as challenges to him.
Is that what we all want?

Stop acting in the 3rd party here Phillipe. Are such a coward, that you
can't to one ID?

Another insult? haven't they been counter productive?
And what is your association with Sprint that you falsely label anyone who says
something you dont like as a Troll?

No matter what anyone does, he ain't going away. The only thing we can do is
not reply to his Robert M. posts, call him out when he shows another ID
which isn't caught by the filters, and to reply directly to posters, when he
gives out poor advice, and provide the correct advice.
At least with that approach, the arguments will settle down. Let the coward
play with himself, as he does anyway.

No, I call you a coward, and a troll, as you can't stay with one ID ...
