Endure in 3 months? Just what makes you think SPCS would support *anything*
to load up to your phone?

The key word is should Bob, not would.I know they are capitalist pigs
that want to drain every buck out for a fee for just about anything. For
example, what's up with charging you roaming even if you are on a
nationwide plan but you phone picks up a different tower because there
sprint's coverage sucks.. T-Mobile never charged me for that sort of
think. I would rather just have a mediocre plan that is inclusive.
Sprint looked like a good deal to me when i signed up.. $45 area wide
with $20 add a phone. Needless to say there has been consecutive screw
ups on there part this month for charging me for my PCS to PCS (which by
the way costs $5 with one year sign up)... on top of all the misc.
charges if you want to do anything with your phone... i think they are
insane and will switch when my 1 year (thank god) is up...
About the uploading, I think they people should at least be able to do
the same things via data cable that PCS vision offers....It's is
hardware capable... don't they have enough of my money already Bob? If I
can upload and dowload pictures and ringtones, then why not .qcp or
games? $5.99 for a game that expires in 30 days... They have to be out
of their freaking minds!!!
Rambling on..............

while I am at work, I can't list them here, But I've found several other
sites that will let you upload .qcp files.
FWIW .qcp files sounds like ****. This is on a Sanyo 8200 which IS
supposed to be able to play them.

Capitalist pigs? It's a friggin' cellular phone company for cryin' out loud.
They are in the business to provide a service and make money, like all
businesses do. As for your usage of the phrase "Capitalist Pig", what
meaning does that have for you? Tell me you donate all money you earn with
your occupation. Tell me you are wearing rags, and give all your money and
time to those who have less than you do.
You really are one to embellish your posts with words that have no specific
meaning to the issue at hand ... In your first post, you mention
*incentive*, then you say *endure* and now say SPCS is a *Capitalist Pig*.
What's next ... that SPCS will bring on the start of Armeggedon?

Every carrier offers different options to their services & plans.

Good. If you aren't happy, then do that ...

Everything that is offered through SPCS's site, has been tested, retested
and retested once again, to make sure those applications, etc, don't
conflict with the firmware programming on the phone. It's not important what
you think, it's important to know that what is offered through SPCS, won't
ruin the phone's first function, and that's to make and receive phone calls.
Granted, pictures and ringers shouldn't have any effect or conflicts on the
firmware, but 3rd party applications can. As for pictures and ringers, there
are numerous other sites one can use to download those to your phone for no
or a minimal charge or donation.

If you don't want to pay for them, then don't buy them. By the by, ringers
and screensavers don't expire on your phone. They only expire in your
content manager to free up HD space on their servers. As long as you keep
the screensaver or ringer on the phone, they will work.

Where do you see incentive? I never said that, you spending wayyy too
much time disecting what is perfectly clear. I am simply stating from my

Very true, and Sprint's is worse then T-Mobile , that much I know for
sure. That is a fradulent charge. Nation Wide Coverage should mean
NATION WIDE COVERAGE, not only on Sprint.

Hmmm.. "Driver" lags like hell on my sanyo 8200.. Might wanna "re-test"
that. You must work for Sprint huh? Ruin Sprint's firmware huh? I have
tried to load a ton of games.. The worst thing that has ever happened is
it would not run the game.

They makes the games worthy of the huge price tag .....get out... they
are price gouging! I just feel sorry for my fellow consumers that can't
figure out how to get their own games
Talking about games and .qcp not midis or screensavers, and yes games
expire. I dont think they even offer qcp for dl. Screensavers are really
silly. Why would I pay for something I can make myself and upload to my
phone. Just another lame sprint tactic.

Oh Contraire! YOU did say that ... in the Sprint and Plan Renewal thread -

I don't mind negative view points, as long as they are valid points. Your
points aren't valid, with what you want to do with your phone ... and your
use of those embellished words

When you signed with SPCS, you signed up to make and receive calls from
their system. Anything off their system is roaming, and they do offering
options to include those roaming calls. So TMobile offers something
different, to where they include the roaming option in their plan.

I should have brought this up before, but if you signed up on an area wide
coverage, then your argument for nationwide coverage is invalid.

Did SPCS design and create those drivers you use? Were these drivers from
Futuredial? Just curious ...

I always know when someone is running out valid complaints when they start
accusing folks of working with or for SPCS. No, I don't work for any
telecommunications company
So, is that SPCS's fault, that the games were not designed correctly for
their phones. The games offered through SPCS have been checked so that they
do work on their phones.

I don't have any games on my phone, save for Reversi, which came with the
phone. I do remember though, from someone else's post here months ago, that
if one puts their phone into "Airplane Mode", those games that were
downloaded to the phone and have expiration dates, will be able to be
played. I haven't tried it, but if you do have some expired games, ones you
got from SPCS, see if those work for you.

me too., Or some good software to convert them straight across to .mid

So far, it's been easy for me to make midi ringtones and load them to
my Sanyo 8200. You can get the free software from www.bitpim.org and
use a USB cable and the USB driver from Sanyo. I have not yet been
able to load any games, even though the phone is supposed to support
J2ME games, of which I have a bunch. Does anyone know how to load
java games on to one of these suckers? I am not going to pay for
download games from Sprint. I don't know about the whole "capitalist
pig" thing, but I just don't have the extra dough to blow on games,
especially when so many free games are available. Any info would be
appreciated!

In the BitPim forum, the developers have said that they won't support
syncing games.

yeah, i thought the same...convert them to midi, easier said then done
unfortunately. perhaps somehere has a decent conversion program but I
had a hell of a time finding one. i guess that qualcomm voice chip is
good for something though. I do like to plug in voice commands and leave
memos for myself. I am glad that I opted for a one year contract though.
Looking foward to my next phone purchase!

www.SprintDevelopers.com has an upload tool for sending
applications, ringtones, and graphics to Sprint PCS phones. In
addition, you'll find other tools and articles to help you create your
own content.

I've been off contract for a short time. But, just bought my 8200 not
too long ago. I love the phone, prefer sanyos, But there is a couple of
others I HAVE looked at. BUT, my wife would crown me if I told her I
bought this "new one" so shortly after buying the other, solely on the
fact that it had "cooler ringers". 8-0
