"New for You" Phone Replacement with Retention Plan?

I have the $35.99 retention plan on two phones and love it. However, my old
samsung N400 has finally bit the dust and I want to get a new phone. Can I
get Sprint to buy me a new phone and keep my current retention plan?

Both of my phones are not on a contract right now, but I don't mind signing
a two year contract if I keep my current plan and get two new phones.

I see that the "New for You" phone replacement plan will give me the $150
credit for a new phone, but it also says that I must have vision service for
vision capable phones. I don't want Vision (unless they will give it to me
for free).
There are two non-vision phones available (neither look very good).

Any other suggestions? Should I call retention and threaten to quit (and
would they care with my $36 month plans)?

Am I screwed?

The "New for You" rebates have no effect on the type of plan
you have, whether retention or otherwise.
Get Vision phones, the first two months of Vision service are free,
and you can cancel Vision anytime during the free period. The
rebates don't obligate you to keep Vision active.

Incidentally, if your second phone is on a 'add-a-phone' plan
(for $20) you can add Vision to it for only $5 extra per month.

Are you saying that I can add vision to my current retention plan and then
cancel it? Won't they make me get a new plan (that includes vision)?

Vision plans are not separate plans. Vision is an optional add-on
than can be added to (or deleted from) *any* plan.
