    Great News !!!

I just saw any interview on ABC News Now / Money Matters w/Hari

All I can say is WOW and it's about time !!!! This company gets you out
of any cellphone contract in the USA anytime regardless of your
problem. This is going to be awesome. Did anyone else see it? I only
caught the last 10 minutes of it.

The co founder stated that it's going live on 6-20-2005

celltradeusa.com was the site. I wen't to it and it says coming soon...

This is a load of crap. A third-party has no control over a contract between
you and your carrier. The best they can do is pay your early termination fee
    - maybe that's what they are doing. Legally, there is no way that the people
running this site can break a contract between two parties where they aren't
one of the parties to the contract.

I agree with Steve; only the parties involved can participate in a contract
discussion. If you "allow" them to act on your behalf, maybe.
    a) getting you out of your contract, even if for a fee, that would be
    interesting
    b) porting you to another carrier, and then give you rebates/money to
reimburse you for the disconnection, that is possible, but at the best low
margin, but perhaps if enough sign up high volume.

If this person were an agent; and got HIGH volume from this type of program,
there might be enough money in volume compensation for them to
buy/reimburse/rebate you the disconnection fee. It would be very low
margin, but they could be profitable with the residuals.

So far it just sounds "phooey", but time will tell. dr

I agree with you that this is a load of crap but keep in mind that these
people can act as your legal advisor's on the matter of the contract
dispute. If they can find some flaw in the contract or in how the
contract's obligations from sprintpcs have been carried out then they can
get you out of your obligations depending on what they find. If I recall
the contract does allow for arbitration of disputes. Granted there is no
guarantee they will find fault in the contract or how it was carried out
but saying there is no way for them to aid in breaking the contract is
wrong. There may also be some local city/state regulations that might
aid in nullifying this contract that these people took time to research.
If anything the law is there to poke holes in other's sound logic so who
knows what loop hole they may claim to invalidate the contract.

I just want to re-state that I don't for a minute believe this BS but I do
believe what they claim is possible just not a 100% guarantee that applies
    to everyone.

So I'm going to trust some assmonkey who decided to spam a bunch of
newsgroups, probably isn't an attorney and most likely is just out to scam a
    couple bucks off me?

Of course not, which is why I said twice that this is a load of crap. I
just disagreed that such offers are invalid on their face. Obviously you
    would look for qualified representatives/advisers.
