MS and Treo announced a new replacement for the Treo650 which does windows.
Wonder if Sprint will pick up this phone since Verizon is first in line....
Looks like they fixed most of the shortcomings of the Palm OS..

Hmm... last I looked, although one could certainly argue that Windows CE has
more features, applications, etc. than Palm OS, the later was generally
regarded as more stable, more memory efficient, and much better on battery
consumption. What shortcomings did you have in mind?

What I heard was that they have increased the memory & battery life....
They also were saying that you could write on it with a pen like their
PDA's...
Stability may be a problem though.... guess we will have to wait and see but
could prove promissing.
I dont want to buy Verizon unless they do not cripple the bluetooth like
they did on the other phones.

Gary,
I am interested in bluetooth on Verizon. I innocently, and ignorantly
ask - what did Verizon do to cripple the bluetooth ?
PS
My lady uses T-Mobile and the bluetooth seems to work - although the
general service is not too good.

Re: Treo 700 with Windows
Bob, to your question about VZW and bluetooth. If a Treo 650, bluetooth
works just fine. I think VZW has learned their lesson (maybe) with the
class action suite settled on the V710.

If you want VZW info, on what they did, or settled on, then your best to
check out alt.cellular.verison. Old news over there, and may not be a fair
discussion here.
By the way: what did they cripple? Anything bluetooth functionality that
was better served as a pay-for-service with VZW's get it now (pay for it
now). And then didn't fairly advertise what they had disabled. dr
