I have been receiving automated calls from sprint. At first they said to
press 1 to hear in English or press 2 to hear in Spanish. Later they
started asking for a person that I have no knowledge of, then it changed to
we have an important message for you. The latest is voicemail messages. I
need this phone to communicate with my wife for the next 2 months, then it
is goodbye sprint. I have talked to sprint "specialists" and e-mailed
customer services. It has been a big waste of time. Anyone else getting
calls from sprint like this?

You're leaving a *big* chunk of information out.
What are they calling in regard to?

Re: harassment by sprint
These are automated calls and do not say what it is all about. It is
however coming from their financial services and my account balance is zero.

Re: harassment by sprint
I have never forgotten to pay my bill. In two more months, I will no longer
be with sprint. It's as if they are being managed by the Keystone Kops.

Are you *absolutely* sure that the calls are coming from Sprint?
Any chance you're being scammed?

Re: harassment by sprint
I have quit answering the calls and this morning I dialed the missed call
number and got sprint, but got tired of waiting to talk to a human. Besides
with all the calls I have been getting, I would prefer to be face to face
with someone there with some authority. Guess the best thing for me to do
is drop sprint. I just have to wait because we are in the process of moving
and need to communicate.

Perhaps your time and effort would be better spent by calling back and
waiting to speak to a rep, rather than wasting our time by asking us to
guess what it is that Sprint wants with you.

If it's coming from Financial Services, there's no harm in calling
yourself - not answering the call, mind you, but calling *them* and
talking to that department to ensure that you aren't talking to some
scammer. I would suggest doing this. Have you done it yet?

Re: harassment by sprint
In my first post, I said that I had talked to their "specialists to no
avail. This is my last post.

Re: harassment by sprint
What cell phone service are you going to switch to? Be careful not to jump
from the frying pan into the fire. Sprint is by far the best.

Depends on where you use the phone.

Would the calls be coming from 866-463-3020 perhaps? Google will bring up
info on that one, plus it's been mentioned in this NG a few times. I was
war dialed from that number off and on for a couple of months. I didn't
feel like dealing with it, so I put the number in my contact list and set
the ringer to "none." General customer service at Sprint (*2) won't know
anything about it. I never called the number back or answered it to find
out more. I just felt like I would spew too much profanity so I hid my
head in the sand instead.

Re: harassment by sprint calls
same here -

If this is a valid marketing call from Sprint, wonder about the results ?
Are they actually getting more revenue vs pissing their own customers
BTW - my wife got called TWICE today while she was in a meeting.
She thought it might be "important", else why would Sprint be calling her !
I'll have to check the number stored, and see what it looks like.
