Has Sprint Entered Desperation Mode with SERO so Easily Availableto Anyone that Knows Anything?

Those subscribers that believe that they have found some secret way to
obtain SERO pricing by entering any e-mail address of a Sprint Employee
(easily found on the web), are doing exactly what Sprint
intended--signing up for new Sprint service. Actually, you can just use
"[email protected]" as the e-mail address and get the SERO plan, you
don't need to be searching for an e-mail address of an employee (though
you can find them at
"http://consumerist.com/consumer/sprint/sprint-ceos-phone-number-and-25-other-sprint-execs-240040.php").

With the collapse of Sprint's Wi-Max plans, their annual drubbing in the
influential and respected Consumer Reports survey of cellular providers
(where they were last in 19 out of 20 metro areas surveyed), and their
hemorrhaging of subscribers, they want new subscribers even at the
discounted SERO pricing ("http://www.sprint.com/sero"). FatWallet.com
proclaimed, "Sprint SERO Plan NOW for EVERYONE!!!". Of course they can't
go offering SERO in their stores or online without some hassle, as
existing subscribers would all be demanding that they be changed to SERO
pricing as well.

Good pricing, just one catch. You still stuck with the Sprint network,
and Sprint customer service (or lack of it).

For a single phone, the SERO pricing is pretty much impossible to beat.
However, for those with 3 or more phones, other plans often end up being
cheaper depending on which features you actually care about.

It would cut my cell bill by a third, no big deal. I've used Sprint in
the areas where I need it the most and it works fine, CS has never been
a problem. There are some dead areas where I've been on horse back that
it can't reach, but over the next hill - Sprint works, but Cingular is dead.

The compelling reason to switch would be that I can get a personalized
name for each phone (no, I don't want to go the Navas route and keep
calling till I get a rep that will do it). The other reason is I can get
a local number phone for each area code I need it in - which Cingular
can NOT do for me.
