    I thought activation was free if u do it online.
    Can u clarify that for me cause I want add a phone to my current
    contract AND sign a new contract like next week?

    As per the page you posted a link to, you will be charged an
    activation fee. Because, you are not "a current PCS customer and are
    replacing your existing phone with a new one".

    You may find that you can "talk" them into not only not charging an
    activation fee, but some other goodies too--if you call to ask "that you
    are not sure if you want to add a line to sprint, or to who ever else"
    If they really want to help people, they will at least wave the act fee,
    they did for me around the first of the year, without me asking--but
    what's the worst they can do, say no, you may have to call a couple of
    times--also sometimes the stores can help too.
