Sanyo all the way. I don't see them nearly as often in my tech room for
things other than updates.
But, I'll admit, the A500 is good for a Samsung.
The question is:
A500 - small
8100 - Camera & inexpensive
5300 - Camera with zoom and flash
4900 - speakerphone and rather rugged
IMOHO - durability is very important. Battery life on Sanyos is also
the best, Samsung is notorious for exagerating (sp?) their battery life.

Re: samsung a 500 question
Yea, that is what I suspected--thanks for the very to the point
posting--I formerly had samsungs--but went to the speaker phone of the
4700, then the 4900 and have used 5300--all seem to do the "talk thing"
the best --but just wondered...

YMMV, but I get the advertised battery life from my A500, both with the
regular battery and the extended. In fact, I often brag about it.
